Are You Feeling Annoyed

Feeling Annoyed

We all feel like we have a right to be annoyed. But what if being annoyed is a ticket for that steals your mind joy mood? As always natural consequences come into play when we become annoyed at someone else or ourselves.
On a physical level it adds the stress hormone cortisol to your blood stream. It ruins your good mood. Being annoyed creates a negative energy field around you. It takes you too places of thought that do not serve you or the other person.
Annoyed is not angry. Annoyed is being irritated with permission.

This is a chosen practiced dialogue for being annoyed. It goes like this....

"I am so annoyed with this situation! That really pisses me off! That so and so needs to.... And I am no longer going to.... I am not going to talk to so so anymore ....and on and on it goes.... Until, finally, your mood is altered for the day and you get to go telling everyone that you are annoyed at so and so for doing".... Gaining someone else's approval so you can be annoyed.

This is a chosen practiced dialogue for getting past annoyed after your first sentence. It goes like this....

What if instead.... Upon the first thought, the conversation goes like this.... "I am so annoyed with this situation! ...This doesn't feel good to feel like this. How can I react to this without loosing my integrity? ... How can I keep my word with myself that I no longer take things personally? ...What so and so did has more to do with their story then my own ...I know that I am did the best that I could and they still did this ...They did it to themselves, I do realize that I am not responsible for their behaviour ...I know I am responsible for my own reaction no matter how badly they behaved. I choose to look at this from their point of view or at least my reaction is that I am going to confront them and ask them why this happened this way ...Boy, do I feel better already ...I'm so glad I decided not to let this circumstance steal my mood today."

There is always a choice ~ there will always be a natural consequence. Which one brings mind joy and which one brings misery?

Here is a poem by Jackson Kiddard, whom sums up anything that annoys teaches you, and what anything else teaches....

"Anything that annoys you is for teaching you patience.
Anyone who abandons you is for teaching you how to stand up on your own two feet.
Anything that angers you is for teaching you forgiveness and compassion.
Anything that has power over you is for teaching you how to take your power back.
Anything you hate is for teaching you unconditional love.
Anything you fear is for teaching you courage to overcome your fear.
Anything you can’t control is for teaching you how to let go and trust the Universe”
― Jackson Kiddard
